Welcome to the Austin Recovery Alumni Association website!
We are former clients of Austin Recovery who have joined together to help each other find and maintain long term recovery. We know what it’s like to walk in your shoes.
Our primary purpose is to help others stay clean, interact in sober activities and stay connected. We understand the struggles each of us face once we get out of treatment and want to support all of our alumni in any way we can. As alumni, we felt we could progress in our own recovery by being of service and helping others with similar struggles. Alumni groups such as ours have proven to be a great addition to the toolkits of those recovering from alcoholism and addiction. It is the sincerest wish of the Austin Recovery Alumni Association participants to give back a little of what was so freely given to us to those new in recovery. We have found that whatever we give back to others who suffer from alcoholism and addiction is returned to us many times over.
Thursday Beginners Meeting
Thursdays at 7:30pm – 4201 S. Congress #202, Austin TX 78704 (map)
This meeting is focused on alumni with less than 60 days – those in treatment and those who have recently gotten out. This meeting is focused on topics directly out of the Big Book. It’s a safe, supportive place to learn how to listen and share in a meeting
Sunday Speaker Meeting
Sundays at 7:30pm – 13207 Wright Rd., Buda TX 78610 (map)
Every Sunday night we gather at the Ranch to listen to a great recovery speaker and enjoy some fun and fellowship. It’s a a great opportunity for alumni to get to know the clients and to show them just how awesome a life in recovery can be.
