We are having a BBQ Plate Sale Fundraiser to raise money for the Alumni Reunion, and this time it looks like the weather is going to cooperate!
These fundraisers were a lot of fun and a HUGE success last year, raising nearly $3000! And not only did we raise a bunch of money, we were able to provide donated plates to the homeless population that lives in the area. Oh, yeah, and it was FUN!
We will be selling pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and pinto beans, waters, sodas and desserts.We will have posters for everyone to take to their home groups and tickets so that people can buy plates in advance. We want to promote the event to the recovery community as a fun, sober BBQ party. There are picnic tables at the church and we will have music playing all afternoon so people can come and buy a plate and hang out with their friends while they eat.
We will need people to help set up at 10am, people to help sell plates throughout the event and people to help break things down and clean up around 4:30-5pm.
